Due to strike action Merseyrail will be running a reduced service tomorrow.
Trains will run every half hour from around 07:00 - 19:00, however it is possible that timetables will change during strike action.
Please visit the Merseyrail website or check @merseyrail on Twitter before you travel on Monday.
As a responsible business our goal is to support the environment in which we operate, contributing to a cleaner and greener Merseyside. Electric traction is already among the lowest carbon modes of transport. However, in response to the challenge of climate change, we acknowledge that we need to contribute towards delivering the UK’s target of significant carbon savings.
We strive to reduce the impact our operations have on the environment and aim to reduce the carbon intensity of our services as well as our own activities.
We will continue to promote the benefits of rail, acknowledging the significant carbon savings that can be made compared to other modes of transport, such as single occupancy car.
We will strive to be recognised across Merseyside and within our industry as a leader in environmental good practice, with an environmental management system fully embedded across all our business operations.
Our ambition is for our employees to all demonstrate and embody good environmental management behaviours.
