Following work over the weekend to rectify the cable fault, a normal train service is now running on the Hunts Cross line.
Young Person’s tickets are now available for 16, 17 and 18 year olds offering better value and more affordable travel.
Following changes to the law meaning young people must stay in education or work based training until their 18th Birthday, Merseyrail and Merseytravel have made changes to their ticket products to bring more affordable travel to younger passengers.
From Tuesday 1 September, passengers aged 18 years or under can buy Young Person’s Railpass, Day Saver, Trio, Solo and Saveaway tickets for travel in the Merseyside area.
Make as many journeys as you like throughout the day with a Day Saver. Day Savers are valid from 09:30, Monday to Friday and all day Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.
Young People aged 18 and under can now purchase a Day Saver from £1.85 for 1 Zone, or just £2.45 for an All Zone Day Saver.
Tickets are available for purchase from booking offices at staffed stations and from ticket machines located at our stations.

Ticket Restrictions: Day Savers are not valid for travel between 06.31 and 09.29, Monday to Friday and Railcards are not valid for use with this product.
Sidestep those early morning ticket queues and save money with a Railpass. Young People aged 18 and under can now purchase a Young Person's Weekly or Term Time Railpass.
For 16-17 year olds the Monthly GEM Pass is still available but 18 year olds can now save by purchasing a weekly Young Person's Railpass for 4 weeks rather than a Monthly Railpass or GEM Pass at the adult fare.

If you make regular journeys using more than one type of public transport in Merseyside there are a choice of tickets available to you. 16, 17 and 18 year olds can now purchase these tickets at the Young Person fares.
