Lend A Helping HandShare
Lend A Hand is all about reducing platform related accidents in a simple way. Last year there were 1490 platform related accidents across the country and we want to help reduce that number.
Take a look at the list below of helpful tips on how to stay safe and help others around you.
Keep an eye out for prams or luggage when on the platform. Sometimes they are prone to running away on their own.
No one likes being knocked into, especially those with physical or visual impairment. You might fall over too! So let's not rush around.
Gaps can be difficult to navigate for older people or parents with prams. So why not help by giving them extra time and space.
Squeezing onto the train is not a fun thing to do. If there is a large group of people trying to get on or off the train step aside and be patient.
Some people like to walk around the platform with their eyes glued to their phone, this can cause accidents. Try to keep your eyes on what is going on around you to avoid any accidents.
